Friday 7th February – Sunday 9th February saw our Scout Section at Powburn Scout Adventure Centre for Winter Weekend. The theme of the camp, Scoutmaster (Our version of Taskmaster)

The Scouts were split into three patrols for the weekend and named their Patrols:

  • The Grievous Geezers
  • The Greivi
  • Pixie Toes

Throughout the weekend, the Scouts had to complete tasks, such as ‘Build a Balloon Chair’, ‘Organise a tin of spaghetti, into the alphabet’, ‘Decorating a hat’, and ‘Be photographed in the most unusual situation wearing your hat’. Just to name a few.

Additionally, the Scouts went for a short walk to locate Cateran Hole. Which, whilst it doesn’t have a concrete history, the Scouts were told a few possibilities of what Cateran Hold could have been used for. Typically, the Scouts became quite imaginative on what they thought the hole could be used for too…
